A resource pack for How Your Town Works course developed for, and delivered in, Barnsley.
A four page Community Engagament section of Rotherham MBC newsletter - People Power. Local community activists were trained to become the 'community-proofing' editorial team - power points from the two session course are also attached.
A two session course for Community Activists to act as an editorial review board on the production of People Power – a Community Engagement section of Rotherham News. Power-point slides for 2 Training sessions for local activists to become the ‘community-proofing’ editorial team for ‘People Power’ – a borough wide 4 page insert in RMBC newsletter.
Reports from some of the activities commissioned by YHEP are now available. They include work done by regional networks: Refugee Community Organisations Forum, Community Empowerment in Health & Wellbeing Network and the Community Development Network.
There are also activities reports about the roll out of the National Standards for Community Engagement to new Local Authorities and work done by the Regional Youth Work Unit to increase young people's ability to influence.
The next meeting of the Regional Community Warden Managers Network is on Thursday 10th December 2009. Venue is still to be confirmed but is likely to be Sheffield.
