Residents of Eastfield near Scarborough, voted for £32,500 worth of projects addressing crime and community safety issues. As well as local people voting for projects on 'Decision Day' in June 09, residents played a key role in the design and delivery of the process.
This case study shows how the relationship between residents and agencies on the steering group moved from 'suspicion to trust' to achieve a highly successful outcome. Lessons learned by those involved through the development of partnership are outlined in the publication.
