The case studies presented in this publication illustrate two very different approaches to meeting neighbourhood aspirations.

• One is based on an approach to neighbourhood governance in a multiracial area of approximately 2,000 households
• The other is an intensive, short-term multi agency approach to neighbourhood management in a deprived area of just 650 households in central Rotherham
