Guide Neighbourhoods Network

The Guide Neighbourhoods Network brings together community / resident consultants who can help others learn from their experience – what works, what hasn't worked and tips and ideas to get others started.

There are currently three Guide Neighbourhoods in Yorkshire and the Humber –

  • Royds Community Association in Bradford,
  • Stubbin Neighbourhood Association in Sheffield
  • Goodwin Development Trust (GDT) in Hull.

Please read the attached document for further details about the work of the Guide Neighbourhoods Network.

A core function of the Network is organising "Seeing is Believing" visits for organisations to learn from each other.  The Regional Empowerment Programme in Yorkshire and the Humber has a small amount of resources to cover the costs of "Seeing is Believing" visits and the Regional Neighbourhood Training & Resource Centre (based at GDT) is acting as the independent broker for matching community groups and neighbourhood organisations that want to see what works elsewhere with those organisations that have knowledge, skills and experience to share.
