This event is aimed at everyone who is involved in learning about active citizenship.

You may have attended a course called 'How Your City Works' or 'How Your Neighbourhood Works' . You may be involved with a community organisation and have attended some training to help the group be more effective. You may be involved with a 'Take Part' initiative. 

RACLA - the Regional Active Citizenship Learning Alliance - is bringing together people from across the Yorkshire and Humber region

who are involved with learning about Active Citizenship, to learn from each other, share ideas about what works well and promote ways of learning about the information and skills that can bring about social change.

The focus for this event is for people who have been involved in learning to share their stories about becoming active and involved. The day will havea creative input and be full of lively inter-active sessions that provide opportunities to 'tell your story' and get inspired by listening to other people tell theirs.

There will be a market place of stalls at lunchtime from organisations that provide learning such as How your City Works courses , run initiatives like Take Part or support Active Citizenship.

In the afternoon there will be an opportunity to hear more about RACLA, contribute to and jopin the Alliance and help plan the next event.
