Regional Empowerment Partnership Mentoring Scheme
The National Empowerment Partnership in Yorkshire and Humber has been set up to improve the quality, co-ordination and evidence of empowerment across the region.
A key objective is to establish a mentoring programme which will offer one to one coaching and support to the people who have to make empowerment happen in their communities and organisations. We are looking to set up a programme which will offer support to two groups of people involved in the empowerment leadership agenda:
·Community activists and development workers operating at neighbourhood level who are in need of support
·Senior public service and local authority managers who are endeavouring to embed strategic leadership for empowerment approaches within their own organisations
If you are interested, or can suggest anyone else who would make a good mentor on either strand of the programme. Information about how the programme would work and a mentor application form for both strands can be downloaded from the forms below. Please would you pass it on to anyone suitable, and encourage them to get in touch with us at the Partnership for an informal discussion about what would be involved in becoming a mentor.
