Are Neighbourhood Plans just what you need?

The Government's Neighbourhood Plans initiative are shortly to become law within the new Localism Act. This presents both opportunities and a challenge to community organisations.

Are they right for your Community?

On the one hand, Neighbourhood Plans provide local communities with a chance to shape their areas in the way they want (subject to various requirements) and in a form that becomes a statutory part of the Council's Local development Framework. i.e. a plan with teeth. But on the other hand, such plans involve quite complex processes, together with considerable work and committment to make them a reality.

To find out more Planning Aid England are running a FREE 1 day workshop hosted by Wakefield Council on Monday 26th March in Wakefield Town Hall. Book Online here.
